Because of this home brew experiment of dish making, a korean missionary discovered me and requested if i can install a religious TV program for them. At first i decline their offer but after some reflection and prayers and the reaction when they saw the channels pop out of their television screen, i agreed for a contract and I become part of their mission. My qualification is my home brew dish and my passion in Christianity. To date since August 2009 we already installed more than 400 units of c-band dish for their churches all over the Philippines.

AFN DISH

Gsat installer set it up for AFN receiver with no luck. I made a quicky solution to make it work because the arm is hitting the roof. woala! an inverted dish with 5 big hole for water drip is the solution. The canadian guy was soo happy. Gave me a tip 500, not $ but pesos. Good enough and no sweat.

DTMD - Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Distribution

DTMD is a new platform in digital pay TV system that carries multiple programs over the air. DTMD AP device accepts multiple TS stream and convert it into 8PSK/Mpeg4/5 that can be received by most available EN 300421 and EN 302307 Compliant STB's.

DTMD operates on a mesh of Access Points tuned to a frequency range of 9.7-12.7Ghz or 17 to 24Ghz depending on your local regulation.

DTMD Access Points are able to send data across a range of 30 to 60 kilometers or more. Despite its expansive reach, DTMD is design to emit only 20dB @ 40 Mhz wide making it license free to most countries.

The Focal Length is 139.56 mm.

This offset reflector is a section of a full parabola with a diameter of 484.39 mm whose vertex is at the bottom edge of the offset reflector. The full parabola has an f/D = 0.29, which determines criticality of focal length.

The focal point of the dish is 139.56 mm from the bottom edge of the reflector and 244.63 mm from the top edge of the reflector.

For operation with the main beam on the horizon with the feed at the bottom, the dish must be tilted forward so that the large axis is 66.55 degrees above horizontal.

Illumination angle for feed = 81.90 degrees on the large axis and 84.20 degrees on the small axis. A feedhorn with a 3 dB beamwidth of 49.16 degrees is needed, equivalent to the feed for a conventional dish with f/D = 0.65.

Gain at 50% efficiency = 26.73 dBi.If you do really well, you might get 60% efficiency for a gain = 27.52 dBi.
